    Mission Statement
    With every customer, we will consistently provide trustworthy, knowledgeable, and professional service along with superior quality jewelry and workmanship in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.

    Lifetime Diamond Warranty
    Every diamond ring from Mills Jewelers comes with a complete diamond report that includes detailed pictures, clarity, color, carat weight, and cut documentation. We guarantee that the accuracy of this documentation when verified independently by either of the grading labs of EGL or GIA.. The quality and content of gold and other precious metals used fully complies with the United States Standards of Quality.

    Mills Jewelers further guarantees to repair or replace the diamond jewelry covered under our warranty at anytime if found defective in workmanship or material. This includes a lifetime diamond replacement policy if a diamond is lost in the course of normal wear. This warranty does not apply if the damage was caused by misuse or abuse or if the jewelry has been repaired by another jeweler.

    Warranty is valid only when customer returns the jewelry to Mills Jewelers in person for inspection and cleaning every 6 months. This service will be provided free of charge. Proof of inspection will be a signature of a representative of Mills Jewelers on the inspection record included in the diamond warranty booklet. If any repair work is recommended at the time of inspection, the warranty is null and void until the recommended work is done. Customer assumes full responsibility for the costs of any repair work needed as a result of normal wear.

    While a diamond is one of the hardest known natural materials on earth, it is not the toughest. It is possible to chip or even shatter a diamond with a sharp blow in the right direction. Try to avoid conditions where this would be likely. This warranty does not cover replacement of chipped diamonds.

    The mounting that holds your diamond also needs special care. Chlorine corrodes the alloy that is part of yellow or white gold jewelry. Contact can cause prongs to become porous and then crack without any warning. Never wear your rings around chlorine. This includes chlorinated pools, hot tubs, and any cleanser or disinfectant that has bleach in it. Mills Jewelers diamond warranty does not cover damage done by contact with chlorine.

    Returns

    1. Refunds or exchanges are given by cash, check or credit to original purchase account on any item purchased from stock within 30 days of purchase with receipt.
    2. Refunds on purchases paid by check are given after 10 days in order for checks to clear bank processing.
    3. A service charge will apply to any item that was sized or altered to the customer's specifications.
    4. There are no returns or exchanges on any custom made or specially ordered item.

    Repairs

    1. All jewelry repair work except watch repairs will be done on the premises of our shop at 51 Main St. Lockport, NY unless warranty requires that it be sent to original manufacturer (as in the case of class rings). You will be notified of any exceptions.
    2. We will provide you a digital picture of every diamond, ruby, sapphire, and emerald taken under magnification for your records. This picture will be provided for your positive identification before you leave your item with us for any work. We will keep a copy of that picture on disk in our computer.
    3. Customer must agree to the description, values, and conditions listed on the front and back of a claim receipt provided at the time of drop off.
    4. Since many stones treatments such as fracture filling, laser drilling, and other clarity or color enhancements may be undetectable to the eye, it is the responsibility of the customer to notify the craftsman of these pre-existing conditions. Mills Jewelers does not sell clarity or color enhanced diamonds and is not responsible for stones purchased elsewhere that may be damaged in setting or repair work due to these unknown conditions.
    5. You will be quoted a price on any repair work at the time you leave your item with us. However, a jeweler, designer, or other representative of Mills Jewelers may determine additional information or work needed after further inspection. You will be contacted before the work is begun regarding any changes. If this should occur, you will be given the option to proceed or cancel the work.
    6. We are not responsible for items left after 6 months.
    7. All work is warranted for one year unless otherwise specified. Remedy is limited to repairing item at no additional charge.

    Types of Accepted Payment

    1. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and even cash.
    2. Personal checks are accepted with 2 forms of ID. Amounts over $500 require bank verification and therefore can only be accepted during bank hours.
    3. 90 Days to 1 Year interest free charge accounts are available through Jewelry Accents. Applications are taken and approved within 15 minutes or less in person at our store at 51 Main St, Lockport.

    Layaway

    1. Most jewelry items, except loose diamonds, can be placed on layaway at Mills Jewelers. The maximum period of time for layways is 6 months.
    2. Payments must be made once a month in equal minimum amounts figured by dividing the total by the number of months allowed. Items will be removed from layaway automatically without notification if required payments are not made.
    3. There are no refunds of deposits after 30 days. Credit only will be given.
    4. Custom made items can not be canceled. This includes specially ordered items, including class rings, mothers rings, wedding bands ordered in a specific size, etc, Deposits and payments are not refundable and can not be transferred as credit toward another item.
    5. You may be sent a statement itemizing your layaway activity. If you would prefer not to receive statements, you must let us know.
    6. We reserve the right to exclude eligibility of any items for placement on layaway. Items are placed on layaway only at the discretion of Mills Jewelers.

    Gift Cards are a great gift idea. They can be purchased in any amount. They can be used toward any purchase including repair work. They do not have an expiration date. They do not lose value. They can hold a balance if partially used. A gift card fits neatly into any wallet and can be used over and over. We'll wrap your card in an impressive presentation box or even seal it in a tin can with a humorous label.

    Earring Club...You can't loose but you could win.

    1. Just pay $1 every week for 30 weeks towards any future purchase (it doesn't have to be earrings), and you'll be entered in a weekly drawing.
    2. You will receive a club card for each club you open. Bring it in each time you pay on your club account.
    3. A winner is chosen each week on Saturday. The winner receives credit equal to the remaining weeks left in the club. The winner of week 30 receives and additional $30 credit.
    4. Whatever you paid into your club account plus whatever you win can be used toward any purchase in the store. Present your card at the time of purchase.
    5. Payments must be current to be eligible for the drawing.
    6. A maximum of $2 payment per card is allowed. Advance payments of more than 2 weeks are not accepted.
